Regna Europa Wiki Style Guide

[edit source]

This page defines the standards used when creating and editing articles on the Regna Europa Wiki.

General Principles

[edit source]
  • Write clearly and concisely.
  • Prefer factual information over speculation.
  • Use the game's terminology consistently.
  • Avoid unnecessary duplication of information.
  • Link important game terms to their corresponding articles.
  • Keep game mechanics separate from player strategy and opinion.
  • When information is uncertain or outdated, say so.

Article Names

[edit source]

Use the official in-game name whenever possible.

Examples:

  • Work Hammer
  • Carpenter's Shop
  • Carpenter
  • Strength
  • Kingdom of Regna Europa

Headings

[edit source]

Use logical headings and subheadings.

Link the first important occurrence of a term in an article.

Categories

[edit source]

Every substantial article should belong to at least one appropriate category.

Templates

[edit source]

Use standardized templates whenever one exists for the type of article being created.

Do not create a custom layout for an article when an appropriate template already exists.

Game Mechanics

[edit source]

Document mechanics as objectively as possible.

Player recommendations, optimization strategies, and personal opinions should be placed in separate guide articles where appropriate.

Accuracy

[edit source]

When possible, verify game mechanics against the current game.

If a mechanic has changed between game versions, identify the applicable version.
